Hey gang! Here's the next episode of Brewster's Millions Of Rants with Pat Thrall's Secret Delay Tricks. As you can probably tell, I'm still on a massive Pat Travers/Pat Thrall musical binge currently, and this lesson provides another "secret" behind the scenes in Pat Thrall's legendary music - so let's dive in! This lesson revolves around the use of various delay effects, which is VERY inspiring! Specifically, a few demonstration examples at the beginning of this video use a long delay setting/effect, but as we start uncovering some of Pat's inspiring ideas using delay, you'll see we're eventually using a "slapback" short delay effect as this lesson unfolds and the featured music is demonstrated. The slapback sections of music featured in this lesson includes parts from the Hughes/Thrall songs 'First Step Of Love' and 'Hold Out Your Life,' along with Thrall's tasty slapback solo from Pat Traver's 'Heat In The Street,' not to mention a lick from the song 'Automatic Man' by the group Automatic Man from 1976 - featuring a young Pat Thrall strutting his stuff using these delay effects! Needless to say, if you're a Pat Thrall fan, a viewer that's been following my recent dive into the music/ideas of both Pat Travers/Pat Thrall, a guitarist looking for some interesting/inspiring ideas using delay effects, or maybe you're just curious what all the fuss is about - this lesson is totally for you!
