Herbin's 340th anniversary. The third color in this series, Stormy Grey is a deep coal grey color that contains flecks of gold, reminiscent of the dark and wild oceans J. Herbin encountered on his many voyages. The fine gold particles in the ink evoke the reflection of lightning across the water as well as the dark, mysterious depths of the oceans. J. Herbin made many journeys to India and brought special wax formulas back to Paris, leading to his shop's success as a reputable sealing wax manufacturer that served Louis XIV and gained popularity throughout France.
