ANDES WITHOUT GLACIERS A documentary on the effects of climate change in the Peruvian Andes. The effects of climate change in the Peruvian Andes are becoming increasingly evident. Although Peru is home to the largest share of tropical glaciers in the world, between 1962 and 2023, it lost 56% of its glacier surface. This loss has a direct impact on the region’s water resources and severely affects local communities —especially agriculture, livestock, biodiversity, and native ecosystems.
