In this video we cover how to pull wire for electricians in a wood frame setting. It's all about having the right tools to enable you to work fast, and comfortably. After the laying out and boxing stage, we then move onto the drilling hole stage, and then pulling wires and stapling them (this video). In a residential setting, 14/2 NMD (the white jacketed wire) is the most common for basic plugs and lights. (For specialty plugs, like kitchen counter plugs, they are often 12/2 NMD [yellow jacketed wire]). When puling wire, it's VERY IMPORTANT you label the wires on BOTH ENDS. We often DO NOT TAPE THE WIRES (like shown in this video), that was just a little pro-tip for when you do need to tape them in a tight situation. When stapling, always make sure to leave a service loop for those JUST-IN-CASE moments (mistakes happen way too often on a jobsite, and this wire service loop at the electrical box will be there if you ever need it).
