North Hills: Man Shot in Head at Sepulveda & Parthenia; LAPD Launches Homicide Investigation.

A man was shot in the head around 8:15 p.m. Monday, January 5, at the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Parthenia Street. Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department arrived on scene and found the victim unconscious and not breathing. Once the scene was secured, firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department were cleared to enter and immediately began CPR. The victim was transported to a local hospital, but LAPD later confirmed the case is now being investigated as a homicide. The suspect fled the scene and possibly got into an awaiting vehicle. All traffic in the area was shut down for several hours as detectives processed the scene.
