Launched in 2017 Tullamore DEW XO Caribbean Rum Cask Finish pays tribute to the role of Irish immigrants in the development of rum in the Caribbean in the 17th Century. To produce this expression, Tullamore took its original blend of pot still, malt and grain Irish whiskeys and finished it in first-fill XO Caribbean rum casks previously used to age Demerara rum. Bottled at 43%. (Bottle size 750ml) Nose: Notes of vanilla and oak overlaid with citrus, ripe bananas and delicate spice. Palate: The mouthfeel brings out deep caramel and banana notes with dates and raisins evident. Finish: Long and sweet with bananas and caramel lingering
