This floor in my 100+ year old house was sloping by two inches wall to wall (8ft), which made this room difficult and inconvenient to use. Houses settle which can cause floors to grow uneven over time. I sistered new 2x6 boards to the existing floor joists to create new, level joists that I can attach a new subfloor to.
