Today I'm demonstrating how to capture light in your painting with the use of colour combinations and tonal values. I will be using warm against cool (complimentary) colours to achieve a startling affect of light! Colour placement is the key to achieving those fleeting moments in time. This demonstration will be done on a red oxide toned canvas, helping to achieve the desired result. I will be using Art Spectrum - an Australian brand - oil paint and palette knifes. These affects could be achieved with acrylic paint also. Stick around and watch the painting develop as I explain my techniques and reasoning as I go! instagram - / richard_musgrave_evans VIEW MY PAINTINGS: https://richardmusgraveevans.com.au/ ARTSTORE ONLINE: I paint with 500ml and one litre tins of Art Spectrum paint.
