When you love something and turn it into work, it’s easy to lose sight of what made it special in the first place. For me, that thing has always been cigars. After 10 years in the industry, my passion has grown, but it’s also been tested more times than I can count. Recently, I found a spark of inspiration in the most unlikely place: a series of conversations with the team at Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), the largest publicly traded cigar company in America. If you had asked me where I expected to find the most “corporate” of cigar people, I’d have guessed STG. But what I discovered instead was a group of passionate professionals who genuinely love the leaf.
