Along with "Band of Brothers," it is the most faithful depiction of World War II you'll ever see. So go and watch it, if you haven't already, or watch it again if you have. To me - much like "Band of Brothers" - this is one of those shows that I can watch over and over again and never get tired of it. I did a video of "Band of Brothers" a while ago and I really wanted to vid "The Pacific" too, but I never really got the inspiration for it.
