A walk from Ambleside, in the English Lake District, to the summit of Loughrigg Fell, (pronounced Luff Rigg) via the Old Ambleside Golf course, a 9 hole course set on one quarter of the lower reaches of Loughrigg Fell, which went out of use in the 1950s. The walk shows the unique quality of Loughrigg, and gives an indication of why it is held in such high esteem by tourists, locals and fell walkers.
