Home to the De Eresby family for 500 after the Castle was gifted by Henry VIII, the castle has links to the royal family since the 16th century and hosts a number of royal thrones and royal treasures. With beautifully landscaped gardens,a walled garden, lake and adventure playground set over 3,000 acres. The Castle, although not a Castle in the true sense of the word , has 4 sides which reflect different architectural styles and has links back to the 13th century.
