The storm waits for us over Brazil. We lift off from Puerto Maldonado (SPTU) and climb into a bruised sky — heavy with rain, charged with thunder. Below, the Amazon stretches into infinity, its rivers shimmering silver between flashes of lightning. This is Leg 14 of our world tour — a crossing into the heart of Brazil, where the jungle becomes an ocean of green and the weather has a pulse of its own. Flying the Cessna 172 (SW256), we follow the Acre River north, threading between curtains of rain and towers of cloud. Thunder rolls across the horizon, the canopy moves like waves, and sunlight breaks through in fleeting golden bursts. The deeper we fly, the wilder it gets — humidity thick, turbulence constant, beauty overwhelming. Our destination, Rio Branco (SBRB), lies ahead — a city carved from the forest, waiting at the end of a storm. Each mile north feels like flying through the veins of the Earth itself. • Departure: SPTU – Puerto Maldonado, Peru (~660 ft elev) • Arrival: SBRB – Rio Branco, Brazil (~633 ft elev) • Distance: ~215 NM • Cruise Altitude: 6,500–8,500 ft VFR • Flight Time: ~2.1 hrs • Route: SPTU DCT SBRB (visual navigation along river corridors) • Notes: Live storm weather recommended 🌧️⚡ Convective turbulence and river-following realism Golden-hour lighting enhances dramatic contrast From Andean foothills to Brazil’s green sea — this is where the sky breathes thunder and the forest never ends. 🌧️🌳 If you would like to support the stream: https://streamlabs.com/swerve256
