Optional Boss Battle #03 ~ "A Green Menace." Elize Solo | Tales of Xillia Playlist: • Tales of Elize [Xillia Solo/Unknown Mode] ▬▬▬▬▬ • Unknown Mode • No Items • No Deaths • No Stats Boost ————— ♪ 蒼-Iconoclast KOTOKO ————— ♦ Reduces casting time by 30% ▬▬▬▬▬ Jude (Remnainsofbattle) ~ • Tales of Xillia: (Jude Solo/Unknown) Milla (TheTalesFan) ~ • Tales of Xillia - Milla Solo Alvin (Dagoldenclip) ~ • Плейлист Rowen (Omegaevolution) ~ • Tales of Xillia - Rowen Solo Run Leia (Frubam) ~ • Tales of Xillia - Leia solo ————— Boss Mechanics: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/616012... ▬▬▬▬▬ http://i.imgur.com/O4CoimP.png Let's just cut to the chase. In Phase 1, the Green Menace has a double-handed crushing attack, a Shoryuken, and a pimp smack. Due to Elize's height, the pimp smack will often times miss. The Shoryuken hits three times. That's why it is a Shoryuken. If Elize is hit by it, she'll go flying all the way to the other side of the battlefield. The double-handed crushing attack is just like the Gandala Defense Golems. If you survive the attack somehow, you'll be left standing, but you'll likely be stunned. All of this attacks can easily be dodged with a back-step. Now on to the artes. The Green Menace has three artes in Phase 1. Wild Voice is an unblockable attack that has a high chance of stunning you. Wild Pressure is a body slam with a really huge hit-box that deals TONS of damage. The Green Menace will always use this arte if you are stunned. Assault Claw is a multi-hit attack that will left you into the air by the time the arte is finished. The Green Menace will always use this attack if you are guarding. It doesn't break guards easily. http://i.imgur.com/xHb9zzK.png Moving on. I will now talk about Phase 2. The Green Menace learns one new normal attack that I'm aware of. The twin sweeper attack. It throws its arms around twice, advancing forward with each swing. It also learns a new arte, the Rush Bumper. It rams you over and over again. The number of times and when exactly it rams you between pauses seems to be random, but all you have to do is guard. Something about Rush Bumper brings back memories. http://i.imgur.com/0SGDRPF.png Oh, that's because it was a pain in the neck to deal with when I fought him as Estelle back in Vesperia. No wonder this punk was so easy to take down. It's just the Green Menace all over again, but with Xillia mechanics. I know its name is Graddic Claw, but I'm not going to bother calling it that because it really is just the Green Menace. During Phase 1, the only counterattack the Green Menace will use is the double-handed crushing attack. During Phase 2, it will start to use Rush Bumper as well. If you are not directly in forth of him, or if you are too far away, it might use the twin sweeper attack (and maybe even a Shoryuken, but I don't remember). As it gets weaker, it start using Wild Pressure more often. It is probably doing that in a desperate attempt to win the fight. If you equip stun immunity, you'll make Wild Voice pretty useless. The hit-stun is pretty lengthy (it can use a Shoryuken before Pow Hammer activates), but it won't be able to combo into Wild Pressure anymore (making its chances of winning really slim). http://i.imgur.com/O4CoimP.png And that's it. There is nothing else to be said about this punk. http://i.imgur.com/xsNp0FJ.png As for you, have a Merry Christmas and all that good stuff! Let's enjoy the rest of this year, and here's to hoping that next year is better because why not, right?
