This video covers the topic of the recovery period post areola reduction surgery. The surgery itself is a relatively small procedure, meaning your recovery time should not be too long. We encourage you to take it easy for the first week until your follow up appointment, although during this time we like you to keep moving, to keep the blood circulating around the body. After your follow up you will be able to begin performing more and more of your everyday tasks each day. We do still advise that strenuous physical exercise be left until you're completely healed, which is usually anywhere in between four and eight weeks.
