On May 27, 2023 in Florida, officers waited outside an outlet mall for a group of shoplifters to return to their cars. The caller, a loss prevention officer, had been watching the subjects conceal merchandise, walk to the parking lot to place the merchandise into their cars, and then return to the store to conceal more merchandise. When officers arrived on scene, they assumed a perimeter position and waited for the suspects to return to the parking lot. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
