Psychrometry | Psychrometric Properties

In this video, common psychrometric terms are discussed. Psychrometry is branch of Science and specifically thermodynamics. Study of thermodynamic behaviour of air and water vapour mixtures under various conditions is Psychrometry! List of #psychrometric_Properties : 1. #Dry_air 2. #Moist_air 3. #Saturated_air 4. #Absolute_humidity 5. #Relative_humidity 6. #Specific_Humidity 7. #Dry_bulb_temperature 8. #Wet_bulb_temperature 9. #Dew_Point_temperature 10. #Degree_of_Saturation 1. Dry Air: Dry air is air which has usual gas Mixture and no moisture or water vapours in it. 2. Moist Air: Moist air is mixture of dry air and water vapours in it. 3. Saturated Air: It is a moist air with maximum amount of Water vapours in it at given temperature and pressure. 4. Absolute Humidity: It is the mass of water vapour in Unit volume of dry air. 5. Relative Humidity: It is the ratio of mass of water vapour in given volume of air to the mass of water vapour in same volume of air at same temperature and pressure When it is saturated. 6. Specific Humidity: Mass of water vapour in unit mass of dry air is called as specific humidity or humidity ratio. Sometimes it is simply called as humidity. 7. Dry Bulb Temperature: The temperature of air measured using ordinary thermometer is DBT. 8. Wet Bulb Temperature: The temperature of air measured by thermometer whose bulb is covered by wet cloth exposed to air. 9. Dew Point Temperature: The temperature of air when moisture in it starts to condense. 10. The ratio of mass of water vapour in given mass of dry air to the mass of water vapour in same mass of dry air when it is saturated.
