The lighting of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests is activated every Friday, Saturday, and on major holidays, based on the sunset time of the day. For instance, throughout 2025, the lighting period will fluctuate between 17:02 and 20:00. The closing time for the Hall of Prayer complex is 18:00 during the peak season (April 1 to October 31) and 17:00 during the off-season (November 1 to March 31). Therefore, theoretically, it is impossible to capture a close-up shot of the illuminated hall throughout the entire off-season. During the peak season, opportunities arise only on weekends in mid-to-late October. Every year around this time, uncles with DSLR cameras set up their tripods early, while ladies, beiles, geges, and ages from all over—each accompanied by their photographers—constantly search for the most photogenic spots. In the darkness, the entire Hall of Prayer complex transforms into a grand party. Until security guards bring out megaphones to start ushering people out, signaling that the annual party has come to an end once again. Here is the live report from the party on October 24.
