Early Winter Trains on Stevens Pass - December 2025

I decided to spend a day on Stevens Pass with a few buddies to catch some trains in action in the first snow on the line this Winter. We start out at Foss river where we barely managed to beat a westbound train to. After watching it creep down the grade we move to the Foss River Trestle located down the line about three hundred feet. There we catch an eastbound train work hard heading up the grade across the bridge, the engineer was friendly and gave us a horn show. Next, we move down the grade just east of Gold Bar, WA to catch an eastbound train start up the 1% grade towards Index, WA. After that, we move down to the river bank at the same location to catch a westbound train fly across the bridge coming down the grade, enjoy!
