Episode 435 Florrie (Betty Alberge) is reunited with her husband Norman Lindley (Glyn Owen). Florrie regrets not accompanying him to India six years prior. Jerry (Graham Haberfield) is shocked by the reunion and tells Len (Peter Adamson) who is initially disbelieving. Stan (Bernard Youens) remains convinced David took a bribe. Charlie (Gordon Rollings) interviews for an insurance job. Len spreads the news of Florrie's husband and is met with skepticism which eventually turns to belief. Florrie confesses to Norman about presenting herself as a widow but he's unbothered. The residents speculate on what could have been with other suitors. Florrie is relieved Norman doesn't want a divorce. Jerry dislikes the gossip. Charlie gets the job but needs £50. All doubt is erased when Florrie and Norman appear together at the Rovers. Norman wants a reconciliation and is planning to settle in Canada after a job in Iceland. Ena (Violet Carson) lends Charlie £50 so he can pay his rent to Minnie (Margot Bryant).
