YX vacuum mixing tank is a mixing tank for the manufacture of low-viscosity preparations and fluid in the cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food and chemicals industries. It has similar design as YX closed mixing tank except for the vacuum system. What is vacuum mixing tank made of? YX vacuum mixing tank is usually made of mixing tank, vacuum system, heating and cooling system, temperature control system, electrical control panel etc. The mixing tank is usually composed of an anchor agitator mounted from the top cover. Two or more baffles depending on the tank size are attached to the inside wall. The vacuum system includes a water ring type vacuum pump, one water tank and one baffle filter tank. How does vacuum mixing tank work? During the mixing operation, the anchor agitator rotates clockwise slowly driving the materials move along the wall. When the liquid meets the baffles, some change the moving direction and some pass the baffles from around. The left part of the anchor mixer moves the liquid upwards and the right part moves it downwards. Because of the two opposite forces by the agitator, the liquid rolls over the vessel from top to bottom and back to top repeatedly. When the liquid is completely mixed and blended, the heat from the jacket is quickly transferred to every part through the inside wall. Water ring type vacuum pump (–0.09Mpa) is powerful to pull out the bubbles generated during mixing and dissolving. It also helps transfer the ingredients from the oil and water phase tanks to the main emulsifying mixer. The small quantity powders are also sucked by vacuum to avoid dust.
