I recently got fed up with being unable to fit small extra devices in my old micro ATX case, like my 10 Gigabit networking card. So I decided to upsize to ATX by purchasing a cheap mid-tower case (CiT Galaxy) and a quality B550 motherboard - the Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX V2. This combination has meant that I can hopefully achieve a clean looking build that can fit any extra PCIe cards into it, while still being fairly budget conscious - the motherboard and case only cost me £120 or so ($160). I kept all other parts the same though - I bought over my five black Arctic P12 fans, my AMD Ryzen 5900X 12 core (24 thread) CPU, my Corsair 64GB DDR4 RAM, Noctua cooler and my two WD_BLACK NVMe drives. This turned out to be a pretty fun build and I show every step (from removing the old parts, to installing them in the new PC) in this video. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The individual timestamps for this video are: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 00:00 Intro 02:41 Build Start - Removing PSU 03:58 Remove Cooler, Move CPU 06:06 Move RAM & NVMe SSDs 08:30 TIM & Reinstall Noctua Cooler 09:38 Mounting 2x Top Fans 12:37 Last Bits From Old Case 15:15 Checking New PC Powers On 15:59 Adding Front Fans 17:30 PSU Into New PC 18:46 Connecting PSU Cables 21:22 Reinstalling The GPU 22:38 10Gb Network Card 24:00 Corsair Individual PCIe Cables 25:01 Front Panel Connectors (Easy..!) 29:21 Does It Boot Up..? 30:28 Windows 11 Is Alive! 31:05 X540-T2 Network Card Drivers 32:48 Benchmark & Health Checks 34:10 Final Look At The Build ~~~~~~ Credits ~~~~~~ Thanks to the following resources (sounds, images etc): "Pop-up Sound" by BeezleFM (https://freesound.org/s/512135/ -- License: Attribution 4.0) --- 'The Way It Should Be (Instrumental)' by Barrie Gledden et al, License ID: EzVn9KLA4Dg https://app.lickd.co/r/ea01c156a71748... --- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ #PCBuild #PCBuilding #AMDRyzen
