EZ Tear Packing Tape https://52.226.219.125/products/moving-storage/packaging-tapes/non-transparent-188-in-x-25-yd As someone who regularly stands to pee, I often ask myself where is the best spot to aim to give the least amount of splash back? Should you aim for the water or the toilet bowl?🧐 · · · TheoretiCole So anybody standing up to pee has a choice to make. They can aim at the water, or they can aim at the bowl of the toilet. So this doesn't really pertain to you? What do you mean? Because you sit down to pee. Well, he's not kidding. Some of us aim for the water, and some of us aim for the toilet bowl. If we're trying to be quiet, most likely we aim for the bowl. If we're feeling a little reckless and we don't care how much noise we're making, then we just aim for the water. But if you're anything like me, you've probably asked yourself which is the best to aim at to get the least amount of splash back. I'm just referring to any of the urine that splashes back out of the bowl onto anything else. The sink yourself, the toilet paper roll the walls, the floor, anything. So the only way to get a real answer for this is to conduct an experiment. But before we conduct anything, I need to discuss what I think the best method is. I'm kind of on the fence. When any stream of liquid hits a solid surface, it's going to splash back. Now, depending on how much actually splashes, back has a lot to do with the pressure behind the fluid and also the surface. Is it flat? Is it convex? Is it concave? And when you a stream of liquid into water, you're also going to get splashback. Now toilet bowls are concave. So I feel like when you a stream of water, urine into the toilet bowl, it's actually helping to retain some of the liquid. But when you aim at the water, I feel like you're getting more of this cannon ball effect. So I would personally have to say that you're getting more splash back by aiming at the water in the toilet bowl than you would if you aim at the side of the bowl. So let's find out which method is best. In this video, we're going to conduct an experiment and see exactly where we should be aiming, when going to the bathroom. But first, we're on the way to the dollar store because unfortunately, I think that if I use my own urine in this video, I somehow the video will get taken down. Also, I'm not really keen on touching my junk and urine and then turning around and touching my camera. So I'm opting for the next best thing, which is milk. So I'm going to head into the dollar store and probably find something that cost more than a dollar. We actually found something in here that costs a dollar. milk and milk. (Intense rock music) Well, I got everything I need for our little experiment and then some. I spend $2 on these at something called the dollar store. Fun fact urine is a fluid produced by the kidneys which contain excreted wastes. Your urine is composed of water, electrolytes and nitrogen compounds such as urea. It travels from the kidneys down tubes called ureters and into the bladder. And of course, in the bladder is where your urine is stored. Did you know that you can technically drink your urine? but urine isn't sterile. Well, neither is your tap water. Sterile just means that there's no living organisms in it and it's free from bacteria. Even the CDC website states that tap water isn't sterile, meaning it could contain some bacteria. Even when the public water system is working correctly, a small number of bacteria that naturally occur in the environment can still be present. Not all bacteria is bad, but not all bacteria is good either. Our immune systems are immune to the local tap water that we grow up drinking. However, somebody foreign who is not immune to drinking your local water supply could fall ill from drinking it. This is exactly why they tell you not to drink tap water in foreign countries. then why do I have to wash my hands after going to the bathroom? Just think. Think about that for a second. Okay. I got nothing. Viruses, diseases. It's a fluid. Even though you could technically drink your urine. And please don't do that. It still contains viruses and diseases. It's extremely important to practice good hygiene and handwashing to prevent spreading these viruses and diseases. I'm hoping for something a little more climactic here to happen. All right. So I was a little off with my theory. Is aiming at the water instead of the toilet bowl. Better at preventing splashback. No, it's not surprisingly. However, I do want to leave you with this. The only thing that my U.V. light was picking up was urine. What about the toilet water that splashed back the amount of bacteria, diseases and viruses that come out of our front side is actually much, much less than what comes out of our backside. And toilet water can contain these diseases. So aiming at the water might actually not be the best idea. #bathroom #experiment #science #men
