00:00 what it looks like 02:46 laptop + cable setup 04:03 SteamVR inside-out tracking 06:03 VRChat inside-out tracking 09:16 hand tracking (SteamVR, VRC, games) (VRChat clips at 6:03 and 11:35) This update video shows better/longer clips of the inside-out tracking and current hand tracking capabilities. I can run the HMD/SLAM at 60 fps and hand tracking at 30 fps simultaneously in my VRChat home. Hand tracking can run at 60 fps if the HMD is in 3-DoF mode (IMU/rotation only). I'm very happy with where it's at now, and my next immediate goal is making it wireless with an SBC (Orange Pi) because I've met my $100 headset goal. Moreover, it looks like I can transition the SLAM system from Windows 10 to an ARM Linux distro without any significant rewrites, which means I should easily retain 60 fps. I also want to make it wireless with hand tracking (for VRChat hand/finger movement), but I'll have to wait until after getting the wireless head tracking set up before deciding on how I'll train the model. Not sure why I kept saying epipolar geometry instead of triangulation part way through.
