A "super sized" version of Johnny's Leer Ghost. I show the website in the video but here it is again - http://johnnysghost.blogspot.com/. Check out all his videos - the guy is the best I've seen on the Web. This will be the first of 3 videos show the making of the prop. My prop measures out at 13 1/2 feet. You could easily make this a 20 foot wide prop if you wanted to. You would just need to make the lever arms more like 2 feet long versus the 5 inch length in this design. One thing I didn't mention in the video - this is the first time I've designed a prop using such short throws which creates a lot of strain on the motor. My other props have much longer arms, closer to 1 to 1 versus his design which is more like 10 to 1. I followed his design since I want to keep the prop narrow but you could easily increase the size of the lever arms to decrease the amount of strain on the motor. I probably would have make the throw arms closer to 1 foot long versus his design which brings them out to around 5 inches. I already can see I'm going to need a counterweight for the head. But it all works. I will go further into detail on this in the next video. For now you can see the basic design.
