Watch same aircraft display video here :    • World`s Only SIEBEL Si 202 HUMMEL Flying   Designed to teach glider pilots transition to powered flight and as a nice cruising airplane. The original plane first flew in 1938 , nicknamed Bumble Bee. All wood construction , side by side seating and powered by a variety of engines it was very popular among pilots and flying clubs. This vintage aeroplane was homebuilt by Josef Kurz at the famous Wasserkuppe oldtimer glider airfield and finished by Wolfgang Knobloch using original plans, materials and construction techniques. First flight was March 19th 2020 at Conneforde airfield EDWP where it is now based in northern Germany. Watch On Board in Cockpit view and hear engine startup , taxy , take off and landing ! D-EMDR on display is an experimental homebuild replica and powered by a 120 HP Verner Scarlet 7U radial engine which sounds wonderful. Due to a larger prop, power is reduced to around 90 HP.
