About 7 miles northeast of Sharon, PA and ~21 miles east of Youngstown, OH. An Army Corps of Engineers park Reservations & Season: Reservation-only campground, booked via Recreation.gov. Seasonally open: many sites open around May 10 each year. Some parts (loops) may remain open year-round or have extended availability. What the Campground Offers: Over 300 campsites with a mix of electric hookup and non-electric sites. No water or sewer here, but there are faucets around and a dump station. Facilities: restrooms, showers, potable water, flush toilets, dump station. Recreational amenities: boat ramp, playgrounds, picnic shelters, amphitheater, horseshoe pits. Hiking trails nearby inside the lake / recreation area. Site features: Some waterfront lake sites and many sites are away from the water. Tent camping or RV/trailer sites. Some large rigs are accommodated - check when you reserve. Campsites are a mix of shade or no shade or a combination of both. Water & Fishing: Boating is permitted; lake supports boating, fishing (bass, walleye, crappie, catfish). Swimming opportunities (public beach areas nearby) and more water-based fun. Things to Do in the Area: Walk or bike the Shenango Hiking Trail alongside the lake and also the Trout Island Trail in Sharpsville (paved) for easier walking / biking. Wildlife viewing Explore nearby small towns for dining and local flavor (Sharon, Hermitage). Good to Know / Tips: Quiet hours in effect (usually from ~10:00 PM to ~6:00 AM) and generator use rules. Bring your own water Check site lengths. Some sites are slopey making it a challenge to level larger rigs. Cell service is usable, but depends on provider and specific loop location.
