They are usually around $1 to $2 a piece shipping included. They are shown on casting rods but if you have spinning rods they work just as good. You can set the hook if need be with the alarm attached as well. I would not try to cast with the alarm clipped on as it could fly off into the water. The one that I unboxed I have bought several of and I have not had the batteries die on them I usually break the plastic clip after awhile and just buy more.
