In this video, we go to the beach in Casalvelino Marina. Then, we go and check out Nonno's antique home and cute little birds. Castelnuovo is one of my favorite towns in the Cilento area. I would actually like to live there someday. It gives me a good feeling every time I come to this little town. It is so peaceful. I've never been inside the New Castle's tower (not really new, but Torre di Velia nearby is older), although I've been in this town about 3 or 4 times. Santo tells me that the Tower is a museum, it was open to the public with a purchase of a ticket, but I've never seen it open every time we were there. The outside of the castle is fascinating enough to see that I don't have to see the museum, but maybe, someday... I have a video of the whole castle titled "Castelnuovo Cilento Campania" from 2017. The Pizzeria next to the Castle is very fun to hang out, especially in the summertime when it's a warm night with some cold beers and pizza. There are some Airbnbs in the town. It is very very affordable to stay here, there is a small Piazza (Square). There is a Bar/Cafe at the Piazza. Besides the pizzeria, I saw another restaurant nearby. The nearest city in this area is Vallo della Lucania, which is about a 15 minutes drive. There you will find the City Hall, a hospital, hotels, and lots of shops and restaurants.
