A&Z #252A - Professional eater Randy Santel versus Scotty's 6x6 Irish Bacon Cheeseburger Challenge hosted by Scotty's Famous Burgers and Wings (Scotty's American Diner) located in Galway, Ireland!! After finishing up our 6-state Midwest USA Tour, ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ and I flew across the pond to Dublin, Ireland so we could spend 40+ days exploring most of the major cities and areas around Ireland. During our travels, I attempted 16 Irish man vs food restaurant challenges. For eating challenge event #4, we headed to Scotty's Famous Burgers and Wings (Scotty's American Diner) located in Galway, Ireland so we could each attempt a version of Scotty's Irish Bacon Cheeseburger Challenge. I was there back in December 2015 and completed Scotty's famous 5x5 Burger Challenge. Because I already conquered that one, Scotty and Jenny the owners let me try a 6x6 Burger Challenge and had 30 short minutes to feast on 6 Irish beef burger patties stacked and layered with 6 slices of cheese, 6 onions rings, 24 slices of stringy bacon, and some healthy vegetables on a hamburger bun. The challenge included the normal 1lb portion of chips and 1lb bowl of creamy Irish coleslaw. I was trying to again win my €35+ cheeseburger meal free along with a sweet t-shirt and spot on Scotty's Wall of Fame!! BIG thanks to Scott and Jenny the owners, their son Andrew who cooked all the food for Katina and me, and everyone with Scotty's for the wonderful food, drinks, ice cream dessert, and hospitality!! The challenge has been available for years and hundreds of people have failed to complete it. Katina wanted to try the challenge while in Galway, so I decided to try a bigger 6x6 Challenge. I had 30 minutes to feast on 6 Irish beef burger patties stacked with 6 slices of Irish cheese. Each beef patty layer had a freshly fried hand-dipped onion ring on it which was extra delicious!! There were 24 pieces of stringy bacon layered on the burger with some healthy vegetables too. The challenge includes 1lb of chips and a 1lb bowl of freshly prepared creamy Irish coleslaw. Winners of the burger challenge get the burger meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and Wall of Fame.
