Day 8 - Camino Portuguese Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis - 21.1km These shorter days are suiting us much better. A late lunch with Scottish George whom caught up with us and probably one to many vinos meant for an early night for us both. We forget the Spanish go out late and come home even later. Little wonder the albergue supplied us with ear plugs for the night. A 7am start and it was brisk. The suns not getting up until well after 8am now. It was a nice quiet start to the morning, but as pilgrims woke up and got started it again is getting busy on the walk. We like to walk for a couple of hours before breakfast and again something was open around that time. So a tostada with omelet for me and ham tostada for Jim washed down with a freshly squeezed orange juice and a coffee, this certainly gets a though the day until dinner. A nice walk again today mostly off roads, some pretty pathways, streams and creeks which makes the walk very enjoyable. I can't believe we have less than 50km to go. We are both travelling well.
