I have to say, that there is actual craftsmanship on display in the gating that was done at this abandoned mine. And, to be fair, so many mines are being foamed shut now (often in violation of their own policies) that I have a greater appreciation for the bat gates, which don't dump a bunch of toxic chemicals into the environment, don't doom any animals inside to a horrible death and don't destroy a mine forever... I use "BLM" in the title somewhat loosely because much of this work is done under the umbrella of the AML (Abandoned Mine Lands) crews even if it is BLM land and BLM employees and contractors are involved. From the outside, there is often no way of knowing which agency took the lead on a project. "BLM" is an easy default. YouTube's algorithm thinks that my "BLM" reference is to Black Lives Matter rather than the Bureau of Land Management. I may get some interesting traffic on this video.
