Paradise Meadows is a popular and accessible portion of Strathcona Park. It provides easy access to the sub-alpine. Circlet Lake, located in Strathcona Provincial Park, is approximately 10kms from the Paradise Meadows Parking Lot at Raven Lodge. It is popular for backcountry camping, hiking, swimming, and fishing. It is often used as an overnight stop for hikers going up Mt. Albert-Edward. Mount Albert Edward is one of the more recognizable peaks in Strathcona Provincial Park, and is the sixth highest peak on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It is known for its challenging 32-kilometer round trip hike to its 2 093 meter summit, sometimes over a single, demanding day (from the Paradise Meadows trailhead) but more typically over two or three days with an interim overnight at Circlet Lake approximately 10kms in from the trailhead. Hikers should be prepared for diverse weather, the rugged alpine environment, and potential snow hazards, especially outside of the July to October. Clips were obtained using a GoPro 13 with GPS tracking provided by a Garmin Epix 2. Segments: Hike into Circlet Lake from Paradise Meadows Parking Lot: 3:15 hrs over 11.3kms with a total ascent change of 435m. Climb Mt. Albert-Edward (one-way) from Circlet: 2:40 hrs over 7.2kms with a total elevation change of 950m. Hike out of Circlet Lake to Paradise Meadows Parking Lot: 3:35 hrs over 12.7kms with a total ascent of 343m. #exploringvancouverisland #exploringbritishcolumbia #exploringcanada #vancouverisland #hiking #backcountry #trails #nature #mountainpeak #albertedward #strathcona #bcparks #paradisemeadows #garmin #gopro13 #solohiker #vancouverislandhiking #canada #mtwashington #comoxvalley #strathconapark #outdoors #mec #explorebc #supernaturalbc @MECVideos @SuperNaturalBC
