Ok, I love spinning on a spinning wheel and I would definitely consider myself "expert" level on a spinning wheel, but would you believe that I would only consider myself a beginner or at the "basic" level on a drop spindle? Yep! I'm just past the park-and-draft level on a drop spindle. And that's OK!!! I had a request for a demonstration on a drop spindle that went the next step beyond the park-and-draft. Thankfully, I'm able to accommodate that request and created this video. It's simple. It's basic. It shows how to drop spindle beyond park-and-draft. A lot of spinners can drop spindle better than I can. They can go really fast. That's not what this video is about. This video is a simple, slow video showing the basics. The one detail that I didn't verbally state in the video is that I'm spinning clockwise. That means that if I'm looking at the top of the spindle where the hook is and imagining it as the face of a clock, I'm spinning clockwise. I spin my singles clockwise on my spinning wheel, too.
