Bulk of Mogalakwena Local Municipality budget goes down the drain due to corruption

The bulk of the Mogalakwena Local Municipality in Limpopo’s budget is allegedly going down the drain due to corruption and irregular expenditure. Employees turned whistleblowers took it upon themselves to write to the presidency and the premier of the province. This was not only to alert them of what was going on, but also to urge them to investigate. A case was also opened with the Hawks, but almost a year since these efforts to expose the rot started, not much has been done.
