With no set up, have your group form a circle with a spot in the center designated as the ‘Muse’ spot. The MUSE is the dance leader of the game, whatever dance moves they try out the whole group will adopt. Once the dance move is successfully shared, they jump back in the circle and the net individual jumps to the MUSE spot. Each person will have a chance to lead the group. http://www.muve.org/muve-dancing-game... The WAVE is a school activity and party game that is super easy to set up. You can actually play this without any floor markers at all. This group movement game gives every dancer the opportunity to shine in from of the whole group. One after the other each dancer will offer a specific move for the whole team to do. We all move together like a wave, all the way to the center, briefly connect with the opposite side and then retreat to the outside lines again. The PARTNER GAME is another game with minimal set up, begin by placing markers on the long side lines of the the room. Once spaced to allow free movement for each dancer, partners identify their corresponding dancer on the opposing side. Caller announces ‘PAIR UP’ and each pair meets at the center line, and the dance begins.The Partner Game gives teams of 2 an opportunity to inspire each other as they dance freely around the whole room. When the Caller calls ‘mix-up’ the connections is broken and all players find a new spot and new partner, and the dance begins again. http://www.muve.org/muve-dancing-game... The SNAKE game can be played with 2 people or over 100+. Of you want a quick game to really get that energy out, this is the one you want to play with your group. In the Snake game, the ‘head’ leads the rest of the body. Dancers follow the dance moves of the leader loosely as they navigate throughout the entire room. The triangle games are our oldest and most reliable set of games. With one muse spot, and two team spots, small groups practice sharing dance moves with each other. 3 people is just big enough to have an abundance of ideas and small enough to support shy players. Each player rotates within their individual triangles to the MUSE-spots to lead the fellow dancers.
