Kayak Fishing for Giant Lake Michigan King Salmon!!! Insane Livescope Reactions You WON'T BELIEVE!

Salmon fishing on Lake Michigan from a KAYAK?? That's right! Although it sounds crazy, it's really a thing and actually not that hard to do. After watching hours of videos of other people kayak fishing for Salmon on Lake Michigan, I knew I had to make the drive and give it a try for myself. I was a little early for the King Salmon to begin biting well in the harbor but this was the only window of time I had to make the trip. I grinded out 2 days of fishing using the Garmin Livescope to locate the fish and a variety of presentations to trigger a bit. The fish gave look after look but were nearly impossible to trick into biting, as seen on the Livescope footage. At the end of the day, trolling crankbaits seemed to be the trick. Both hookups I had were on deep diving crankbaits run at a steady speed. Waukegan Harbor was pretty crowded with pier fisherman but the kayak and boat traffic was pretty minimal during the week on off peak hours.
