In this video I go on the ultimate food tour in Baghdad, Iraq and show you what Iraqi food culture is really like. From classic breakfast to street snacks, juices, tea, and late-night falafel, I take you through a full day of eating in one of the most underrated food cities in the Middle East. I start the day in the Sadriyah neighborhood with one of the most famous Iraqi breakfasts — kahi and geymar from the popular spot Rasul Kahi. Served with honey and bread, geymar is a thick clotted cream that is a staple of traditional Iraqi breakfast. From there I explore the streets of Baghdad and show you what local street food looks like. I stop for Iraqi tea, served boiling hot in small glass cups and brewed strong. Then I try the famous zabeeb juice, a sweet drink made from black raisins that is found all over Iraq. It is refreshing, full of flavor, and something you will not find outside the country. Later in the day I visit one of Baghdad’s top restaurants for Iraqi kebabs, served with freshly baked samoon bread, grilled tomatoes, and onions. The meat is tender, full of smoky flavor, and unlike any kebab I’ve had before. At night I head to a popular spot for late-night falafel, where the sandwich is made fresh, crispy, and packed with salad, tahini, and pickles. The vibe is lively, and the food hits differently after a long day in the city. If you want to know what Iraqi food is really like in Baghdad, this video takes you into the heart of it. The food is affordable, full of history, and made with love. And everywhere I go, the people make it even better. #BaghdadFoodTour #iraq #baghdad
