I Love medicine. I love the idea of being able to help people and I Loved biology, I think it's totally fascinating. I think that there's so much that we don't know about it and What we do know is just endlessly interesting to me, and so that's why I decided to go to Medical school. I was actually raised here in Dallas, Texas. I went to the episcopal school of Dallas for high school, and I went to Boston University for undergrad University of Texas San Antonio for med school, and I did my residency training at Rutgers in New Jersey I did my fellowship back here at Dallas at UT Southwestern and I'm thrilled to be back in the Dallas area. Really my parents told me I couldn't do it. I was a stubborn personality. They said you probably don't have the grades to get into medical school And you know like I have so many times in my life. I said I'm going to make this happen. Bariatric surgery didn't come until later I was on a surgery rotation and I was very conflicted because I was thought maybe pediatrics maybe internal medicine I don't know. I haven't made my decision and was about three weeks in and I walked into the operating room and I looked around and I count instead a dirty word Because I realized I have to be a surgeon. There's nothing else that I could do and be happy because I loved it. Patients, you know these patients come to me and they ask for help which I admire them for Admitting that they have a vulnerability that they have an area of life that they want to change. I think it's remarkable they come to me and they ask for my help, and I do everything that I can to help them achieve their goals and every time a patient comes in whether they're down 2 pounds or 20 pounds I just I feel like I am cheering them on and it fulfills me and a I can't even describe because it's They're so happy with how things are going and I'm just so happy for them. #Bariatric #Surgery #WeightLossSurgery #WeightLoss #LuminHealth #LuminCLinic #Physician #LuminHealthPresents #DFW #Plano
