Officers Discover Cyber Cafe Hidden In Smoke Shop After Man Is Stabbed Inside In Santa Ana

10.12.2019 | 2:37 AM | SANTA ANA - A cyber cafe was found hidden inside a smoke shop after a man was stabbed inside by his cousin, early Saturday morning. Authorities responded to reports of a stabbing at a smoke shop in the 2000 block of East First Street around 2:37 AM. Units arriving on scene located a cyber cafe nestled in the back of a smoke shop and learned that a dispute had broken out between family members. Initial reports indicate that a 48-year-old male was inside the location with his girlfriend and his 49-year-old male cousin when an argument broke out. The 48-year-old man was stabbed by his 49-year-old cousin and then taken to a nearby hospital by his girlfriend. Approximately 15-20 individuals were dispersed from the scene of the stabbing while officers investigated. It was unclear why a cyber cafe was hidden inside a smoke shop and operated at such late hours however illicit activity such as illegal gambling may be a possibility.
