Just LOVE those warm tones! Specifically, the tones I get from Fomatone MG Classic 131 VC FB Paper developed in GAF 135 Warm Tone Paper Developer. Check out this FULL darkroom printing session with my favorite warm-tone paper and developer for rich brown-black tones. The toned Fiber-based print was toned in Ilford Selenium Toner 1:9 for 1 minute. Some prints need softer contrast and more delicate warm tones to reach their full potential. Here I show a few methods I use in the darkroom to achieve these tones. Also a little “Happy Accident” I made in the darkroom while developing the print that gave me the EXACT image I was trying to achieve! Check that video out here: Hope you enjoy! ============================= Developer Formula: ============================= GAF 135 Warm Tone Paper Developer: Water: 750ml (105 degrees F) Metal: 1.6g Sodium Sulfite: 24g Hydroquinone: 6.6g Sodium Carbonate, monohydrated: 24g Potassium Bromide: 2.8g* Water to make 1 liter Mix in order Dilute 1:1 with water. Develop 2-3 minutes at 68 degrees F. Dilute more for less contrast. *For warmer tone, Potassium Bromide may be increased up to 5.6g per liter.
