BLACK CHRISTMAS is one of my all-time favorite movies, and for years I've had an idea in the back of my head of making a film consisting entirely of the interior shots of the house with no people in them. I started cutting the Blu-ray transfer this week, but while I was whittling it down I found a little alternate story arising out of the footage with Jess (Olivia Hussey). A sort of 1970s "psychotic woman" narrative--along the lines of IMAGES, SEASON OF THE WITCH, LET'S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH, etc.--suggested itself while looking through the clips of Jess in the house by herself.
