Barrow Hill Roundhouse - 02nd February 2013

Let's go back to Saturday 02nd February 2013 as we pop over to Barrow Hill Roundhouse for a quick visit. This is a selection of stills as I didn't do any filming that day since there was nothing running but have picked some of my best shots here "for your viewing pleasure". A number of locomotives seen here have since returned to the mainline or preservation, 37401, 37503 & 37521 being the obvious examples. Notable locomotives are the fleet of AC Locomotives including "The Badger" 89001, 56006, 37057, 58016 and "Blue Peter". We also visited the Deltic Preservation Society shed where "Tulyar" was in the midst of a lengthy and thorough overhaul, the cab of 55021 was there as well as 55008 which is used as a simulator & a very detailed one at that given the fact it's a real cab ;) One of the big doors was opened briefly so we managed a couple of cheeky shots to see what 'arry had round the back, a couple of 20s, a 37 and 47 and some southern region unit...
