Roads of Westfjords, Iceland: 68 (Innstrandavegur) & 645 (Drangsnesvegur) | Hólmavík & Drangsnes

Roads 68 and 645 are located on the eastern side of Westfjords region in Iceland. These roads are not F-roads and they are also partly already under pavement, so I wasn't sure about making a video about them... but then I figured if I have them already recorded anyway, then why not? Who knows, maybe it can be useful to somebody. :) 68 is the road that's entering the Westfjords region from the east side. It's a nice coastal drive and it had very good road conditions, should be no problems for passenger cars. I believe there was only one a bit steeper section where speed limit was reduced to 20 km/h. This road should be passable all year round, although I believe the other road entering Westfjords on western side (road 60) is considered to be more prioritised regarding that. (locals, correct me if I am wrong!) I also included a small part of road 61 leading to a town called Hólmavík. It's a quiet town with a beautiful church. Road 645 almost creates a circle. It starts from Strandavegur (643) and does a loop along the coast. Our cottage in Hvammur summerhomes was also located on 645. The road gets its name from Drangsnes, which is a small, quiet and calm Icelandic village with population under 100. If you happen to be in this area and have spare time, I suggest taking the "Drangsnes loop". With nice weather it offers beautiful views and it doesn't take too much time and effort to drive it through. These roads were recorded in the beginning of July, 2021.
