Rava chivda, yes, you heard right!! We are using rava to make this chivda. Woth Diwali round the corner, you must be looking for different faral recipes. Chivda being one of the most loved dishes among them, it is a must recipe. So far we have seen different chivda recipes. This is yet another tasty addition to the list. As the name suggests it turns perfectly like that. This recipe doesn’t need lot many ingredients. You can easily make it from very few ingredients those are readily available in your pantry. Try this recipe at home and drop a comment for me. You also can like, share and subscribe. Ingredients: • 1 cup Rice flour • 1/2 cup fine Rava • 1 cup Water • 1/2 tsp Oil • 50 gm Cashew nuts • 50 gm Raisins • Curry leaves • 1 tsp Green chili paste • Black Salt to taste • Salt to taste • Powdered Sugar • 50 gm Peanuts • Oil for frying • Finely chopped Green chilies Method: • Heat up water on medium heat in a pan and add salt, green chili paste and oil. • When the mixture begins to boil, tur. the heat to low and add rava. • Mix everything well together. No lumps of rava should be formed. • Cook until the mixture comes together like dough and rava is cooked well. • Turn the gas off and let the mixture cool down for just about 5 minutes. • Add rice flour and mix well. • Knead the dough really good. • Take a small portion form it and make a roll of it. • Heat up oil on high heat for about 3-4 minutes and when the oil is hot enough, turn the heat to low. • Fill the roll into chakli mold and roll out shev directly into hot oil. • Fry the shev really good on very low heat. • When one side is fried well for about 3-4 minutes, flip the shev over and fry well for about 3-4 minutes from other side too. • When shev is fried well from both sides, take it out, drain excess oil and transfer it on a tissue paper. • When the shev cools down, break it into pieces. • In the same oil drop peanuts and fry well until the turn reddish. • When the peanuts are fried well, take them out, drain excess oil and transfer them on chivda. • Fry cashew nuts until they get light golden color in the same oil and take them out on the chivda. • Fry raisins until they puff up really good and take them out on the chivda. • Fry curry leaves until they turn crunchy and take them out on the chivda. • In the same oil, fry green chilies really good until all the moisture is removed from it and take it out on the chivda. • When the fried chilies cool down, crush it. • Add black salt, powdered sugar and salt and mix everything well together. Rava chivda is ready. • When the chivda cools down completely, store it in an airtight container. • It has shelf life of about 2-3 months.
