János Content: Continuing the 6BQ5/EL84 series, this time we are looking at a single ended triode connected example, the very popular Decware Zen. Single ended pentode in triode mode is not a true SET, yet tube operating parameters and behavior is very close to true triodes. I'll review a few key design specifics, that make this amp tick. Also, go into detail on what 2W, or less than 2W can do for you... well, what the sub 2W world brought to my life. (I have lived with the sub-2W SET amplifier world for 20 years, and dipped as low as 0,33W.)
