In 2019, the RollDock Star was moored in Hamriyah, UAE, to load a part of the 22 modules for the Total Ethane Cracker project in the USA. The project covers seven single voyages, using both RollDock and BigRoll vessels. The modules are transported from Hamriyah, UAE, to Port Arthur and Beaumont, Texas, USA. Sister company Roll-Lift plays a part in the completion of the land transport aspects of the project. A perfect example of the Factory to Foundation solutions Roll Group has to offer. Our Cargo Superintendent tells about his job as the ‘spider in the web’. ,,There is always a lot going on and it all goes through me. You must be able to adapt to changes and still keep focus on the main goal of loading and discharging cargo safely and on schedule.’’
