Hello everyone, I’m here today to give an important update and serious warning about a scam that has been targeting members of the Deaf community. Many of you may remember my two vlogs last month where I spoke about Times Trend Media, also known as TTM, and why it raised so many red flags. When I first posted those videos, some people strongly disagreed with me and even attacked me for speaking out, demanding that I apologize. I refused, because my focus has always been on protecting our community, not on defending scams or those who promote them. Update: Since then, more Deaf individuals have come forward to share that they lost money to TTM. Several people have now left TTM completely, They are reporting their losses to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, the U.S. anti-fraud authorities, and their local police departments. This shows clearly that TTM is a scam, and unfortunately, it has harmed many members of our Deaf community, including more than 80 Deaf Canadians who were convinced to join. New development: TTM is now trying to rebrand itself under a new name: XAEL-Ai. This is a common tactic used by scam operations: when their reputation becomes too damaged, they change names to trick people into thinking it’s a new or safe opportunity. Please understand — a name change does NOT make it legitimate. The cryptocurrency red flag: One of the biggest warning signs has been cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin, being used for payments or investments in TTM. The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre has made it very clear: When a business requires cryptocurrency, this is a major red flag. Cryptocurrency transactions cannot be easily traced or recovered, which makes it almost impossible to get your money back once it’s gone. If someone asks you to invest or send money through crypto, you should stop immediately and report it. About responsibility and accountability: Some individuals created videos and messages that encouraged others to join TTM, which contributed to many Deaf people feeling it was safe and trustworthy. Recently, an apology video was shared — but it was only addressed to TTM members, not to the broader Deaf community who were misled and harmed. There was another apology video from a deaf church in California that was uploaded to youtube which has circulated on social media. While it is a positive step to see some acknowledgment, it does not erase the impact on our community: Many Deaf individuals placed their trust in those messages and are now left financially hurt and emotionally betrayed. Our community deserves transparency and public accountability, not just private apologies, to prevent this from happening again. Taking responsibility is about more than words — it requires action, honesty, and a genuine commitment to protect others from future scams. My feelings and purpose: I want to be honest — I am angry and deeply concerned. Not because people disagreed with me before, but because now over 80 Deaf Canadians are at serious risk of losing their money, and some may never get it back. I warned about this last month because I’ve seen similar scams harm our community before. I will never apologize for speaking out when it comes to protecting the Deaf community. What you can do now: If you or someone you know has been involved with TTM or XAEL-Ai: Stop sending money immediately. Report it to: Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca) U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or equivalent fraud agency in your country. Your local police department — file a report, even if you think it won’t help. Save screenshots, receipts, and communication records — these may be important evidence. Closing message: Please share this video widely, especially with Deaf friends and family. We must look out for each other and stop scams before they grow. Remember: If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is part of scams. Stay alert, protect yourself, and let’s work together to keep our community safe from harm. Thank you.
