Because analog motion detection relies on pixel changes, simple lighting changes can easily trigger alerts. We demonstrate this by turning lights on and off and showing how motion is detected even without a person present. From there, we walk through the DVR’s motion region settings, showing how to adjust sensitivity and threshold levels per zone to reduce false alerts. You will see how different regions respond to motion and how fine-tuning these settings makes a real difference in day-to-day use. Finally, we demonstrate Smart Motion Detection (SMD) on supported Avalonix DVRs.
