Known for its abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities, Lamar Valley is a large, open expanse surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. With the Lamar River flowing through it, Lamar Valley has been called "America’s Serengeti", for its large and easy-to-see populations of large animals.
